On a cold, dark morning, imagine the bright sun on your face. This can be a reality with SAD lights and SAD lamps.

Do SAD lamps work?

We think they do, and experts have shown that SAD lamps are useful if you're feeling down in the winter months. They're also useful for waking you up and get ready for work, especially if you work unusual hours or nightshifts

But SAD lamps are not an alternative to proper medical care. If you have severe depression you should always talk to you doctor but light therepy is unlikely to solve medical depression.
